I live in the pacific northwest and this stuff has taken over my yard and I don't know how to get rid if it!

EDIT: Identified as Ranunculus (creeping buttercup)

    Does it have yellow flowers?
    Perhaps ranunculus repens (creeping buttercup).
Though I always notice some pale shading in the leaves…

Probably not Ranunculus repens. And there are native Ranunculus species as well as other non-native ones. Show the flowers (including calyces), seed heads, and really any other parts you can think of showing, *attached to the plant and not plucked and decontextualized*, please.
