It is now time to start getting in the rest of your winter garden so you have food to harvest in winter to early spring.

Happy birthday! Thank you for the information. π

Was so heartbroken to be set back thanks to a certain chicken escape episode, good advice to do the some seedlings and some seeds.
Great video πthanks for advising what to plant. Iβm in the west of Melbourne and just started my first small veg bed. Sadly the white butterfly got to my cauliflower (Iβm trying to save it). Thanks for the tip about Corriander – will plant them now ππΌπΈ

Only just subscribed. I wish I had found this earlier. I am very new to gardening and was trying to decide between tomato and lettuce. I picked tomato but wish now that I had picked lettuce hahaha. My son is growing parsley and is so happy seeing the little seedlings sprout and I am accidentally growing potatoes. I had thrown some potato scraps into the compost area like a year ago and the other day I was like …why on earth is there a massive plant growing there and when I tried to pull it up thinking it was a weed it had a ton of potatoes at the base of it. Was a lovely surprise.
I bought a parsnip today for $1.50 aarrgghhhhh
Thank you!! This is very useful. I'm in Lithgow NSW so the information translates well.
Great tips as usual and so useful. Many thanks!
Hi Amy, Thank you for another great video full of advice for us who live in Central Victoria! We've just harvested 10kg of pomegranates from our three year old bush – it certainly overachieved this year. The vegie garden is going well: brassicas are covered to keep them safe from the cabbage white moth, so we anticipating a good harvest later this season. Peas are up and curling their little tendrils around the trellis, and I've planted four different varieties of garlic, so the long wait begins π Loving the recent rain, with more to come X X
Some good hints. π₯°πΆπΊπ¦
THANK YOU for these vidoes! It's so hard to find good informative content on VIC! I'm in the eastern 'burbs and it isn't easy to find this info in an easy to digest way. Thanks for making it so easy and giving me hope! I love Mark from SSM as much as the next aussie but the subtropics he grows in just doesn't translate….
Loving all this content, please keep it coming! Would LOVE to get a pre-emptive "what to plant in spring" kind of vid in about a month!
Harvesting lettuce, silverbeet and cherry plus Roma tomatoes. The figs are still producing too…..delicious..they are my husband's Great Grandma's figs π.
Nicely done!!! Cheers, Albert
Hi Amy, love your cat. Blue Mountains Katoomba NSW. I am still harvesting Mini Romas, they will die off in the next few weeks. It is absolutely beautiful here at the moment.I love your videos.
Happy birthday π
Currently harvesting chillies, capsicums, rocket, coriander, parsley, chives, basil, thyme, potatoes. Mostly the remains from the summer crop. Smaller garden these days but prolific for the space. Had a great tomato crop and fruit. So far Broccoli, bok choy, radishes and turnips are in. Iβm new to mid north SA so growing capsicums easily is a particular joy. Used to be in southern SA and Tasmania. All different growing environments and seasons which has been fascinating.
Oh yes, I love May, especially as autumn was slow to arrive this year. I live in Hamilton, Victoria, so very much appreciate these videos to give me a kick up the bum and remind me what I should be doing. It's been SO dry here so currently enjoying the rain.
Crap….. didn't think of that about carrots….. i put a heap into seed trays (meat trays)
Weβre harvesting silverbeet (including one thatβs still going from last year), parsley, thyme, beetroots, spinach, daikon radish.
Our kale, brocolli, cauliflower, cabbages, onions, leeks, carrots that we put in last month are steadily growing.
And weβve just put in spuds in grow bags for the first time-
Wish us luck! π₯ π± π₯ π₯¦
Tassie here, a little cooler here but still 15Β° but we've had our first big Frost already
The mice have been burrowing into one of our carrot beds munching on the young roots. I've had to use traps π³. If you need a new home for that cat….
The slugs & snails are also becoming active. At night, I use a cycling headlamp & pluck off the big ones, putting them straight into a small bucket of beer.
How do you manage 'pests'?
