  2. Did your baby bunny friend nibble on the carrot? None of our resident wild bunnies will ever eat carrots! I've tried many different types, sizes, fresh-picked, and store bought. Looney Tunes lies! 😂 They do love apple though. Clover is also a favorite, so as long as you have that growing, you might see babies who aren't the brightest when it comes to self-preservation. This little one looks to be about 6-weeks-old and they can be very curious and friendly at that age. 🐰💜
Meanwhile…thanks for all the awesome info! I'd been planting my nasturtium way too close to things I was hoping to protect. My biggest issue is cabbage worms so I'm going to try alliums instead. Love seeing all your dragonflies!!☺

  3. 2:11 This makes me smile because some weeks ago, I was separating some chives from the root to propagate them in my garden and I saw a baby snail in there, using it as a bed 😩
Should I cut the chives from time to time to remind the little garden animals and bugs that they are supposed to hate it?

  4. Question, could the ends of the onions that are left after cooking be placed in my beds to repel pests? Thanks😊

  5. My biggest success with these was rosemary. I have a terrible time in my garden with black alium aphids. They're barely impacted by things like neem oil and they care not at all about being sprayed with dish soap. Kind of ironic that one of the plants you list as a pest repellent is one of the most susceptible to pests in my garden! But planting the onions and garlic among my rosemary bushes genuinely helped. Sage plants also helped.

A really cool option if you have space is luffa! Luffa vines produce Extra-Floral Nectaries, and use them to pay protective ants that act like bouncers in the garden. Very helpful! The ants guard all of the squash vines and plants like elderberries and tomatoes, killing the aphid-farming ants that wreck your crops. Plus, it's fun to watch them work! And luffa fruits are great summer-squash substitutes while they're young and tender, and the blossoms are amazing.

  6. I have alsways cropped radishes before squash, leaving a few behind and chopping the leaves as a mulch around the squash roots. It is a noticeable deterant for both squash bugs, leaf footers, and vine bores. ❤ Old timer taught me that and I am not sure it's well known or studied.

  7. I once planted marigolds in my garden thinking they would make a difference…they did, every spider mite in a 10 mile radiance was attracted to them and soon, my whole garden was decimated…what say you? But, as you suggested I planted flowers such as Sunflower whatever you mentioned earlier this year back from the garden as an attractive lure for the pests. Hope this strategy works. I'll go get some dill soon.

  8. The favorite food of hornets here in Arkansas are the Japanese Beetles. I can watch them dive bombing and ravenously eating the beetles right outside my windows…gotta watch that they don't sneak indoors though…LoL

  9. I'm in Myrtle Beach. Every year i see those stink bugs & especially leaf-footed bugs on my tomatoes (didn't know what they are or named till you just told us). 1st great tip: never used a bonus Ryobi mini dry/wet vac I got last year – now I know what it's going to be used for. 2nd – a question – your warm water, soap, and pyrethrin solution….where do you get your 'pyrethrin'? U R very entertaining & I learn a lot from your video!

  10. I always feel bad killing the bugs 🫤 especially cause the way the poisons work sounds like a terrible way to die.

  11. Great info. My yellow lab who is also my hunting dog keeps the yard pretty free of bunnies and squirrels. I also have a pistol range on my property and I use it several times a week. So for the few areas where she cant get to my .22 handgun takes care of any intruders. I only have one neighbor and they do the same.

  12. Great tips on planting beneficial flowers and herbs. I’ll definitely do that this year. Did you say you direct sew basils? So funny, Mr. Dale knows “hungry”. So smart!! Dale and Dill does sound almost the same. LOL. Thanks for sharing the valuable info.

  13. As always, a terrific, very educational video with so much practical, invaluable information.

  14. i love borage so much it’s my profile photo, youre telling me it’s not just beautiful but it’s also helping my tomatoes? lets goooo
