So my first leaf of the year has fully unfurled yet it still has some growing to do.
I need to close my blinds so that I can get on with some important video editing work but I’m concerned that even though the fenestrations have formed nicely… it will not get as big as it potentially could if I reduce the light it’s getting over the next few days. Does anyone know if this is true or will it just get to a certain size no matter what now that it’s done the initial forming and unfurling?

I cannot answer your question, I just wanted to say what a stunning leaf 🌿

I would say if you close the curtains, it will significantly reduce how big the leaves get.

Yes, changes now, can effect the process of this leaf, light is the most important part of a new leaf!
I have experience, my leaves, after they unfurled, to the point like yours. They usually still add 20-25 cm, in size, till they are fully hardened and green.
But I had a leaf, that was unfurling till winter started, the temperature, humidity, etc. Stayed the same, but light changed, the leaf had more fenestrations then the previous, but was way smaller, in the end… wich looked quite funny!
And the leaf stayed on there ever since, but i gave the plant away…
So yes you probably don’t want to change anything, but closing the blinds for 1-2 hours once a week or so, wont change anything. Just don’t do it everyday, or half/ intire day! That effects much!
