Hey all, hope everyone’s doing well today.
I recently got into terrascaping as a complete beginner because of my love for nature. I figured, why not finally give it a shot?
But I was quickly met with a huge learning curve. My plants keep drying out, so I started spraying more often as a result.
The lighting is something I’m still having a hard time figuring out. It’s currently on the lowest level, but I’m not sure what the right level should be or if the position is even right.
I know some plants thrive in lower light and more humid conditions, but I’ve mostly relied on Google when choosing plants. Seeing the results now, I’m clearly making some mistakes, but I’m not sure exactly what I did wrong.
Here are some photos. Some of the plants are definitely struggling.
😅 please don’t hunt me down for the mistakes-

I think as long as you’re having fun and learning new things that’s all that matters. I’m new to the Hobby myself and have made roughly 12 terrariums in the last year and there have been some significant learning curves and massive improvements in every new one I’ve done. Honestly this for a first one looks way better than my first one did, it looks good to you stand proud, you had fun.
Just experiment what works for you. As long as you don’t add any animals, you can experiment with water and light so long until you figure out how your tank thrives.
