Both are growing all over the Environmental Education Center across the street. It was a farm converted to it's current state. Forests and fields, a small stream and wood chip trails for miles make up Camel Hump Farm.

At 72 I'm determened to learn all I can about the natural world and my connection to it all.
People don't appreciate the critical life sustaining relationship we all have with trees and plants. We NEED each other, though trees were here thriving before humans even existed. We humans need trees while trees can live without us! Our lives depend on greenery.
Helpful….., useful information
I had a mallow bush with pink flowers, about 4 ft tall. I went on vacation, and my manager cut it down. He was like an elephant, always taking down plants. ๐ธ๐

This convinces me that's why they came out with insecticide and weed killer because these weeds are healthier than the stuff you get in the store and it's free, maybe not from free from weed killer depending on where you are where you forage from and if they spray the sides of the roads and the fence lines.
I encountered dandelion and purslane last year. One of farmers at farmers market selling them. Dandelion is bitter. Purslane is very delicious
Today I cooked dockweed Sorrel plant leaves for dinner
