I plan to build in custom terrain for a bp and part of that was gonna be this huge plant for him to chill/hide in but I’m worried about keeping it this size cause plants obviously grow. I’m not against having it as a house plant if needed but would prefer to keep it in a tank ya know

This looks like a philodendron “Selloum”, also known as “tree philodendron”, Philodendron bipinnatifidum, and formerly “thaumatophyllum”. They get big, bigger than monstera big, and are considered tree philodendrons. They don’t need to “size up” by climbing things like most other philos or monsteras, they grow a large trunk-like stem and get wider before they get taller. Not really a good choice for any size terrarium, unless it’s room size with a skylight maybe.

Ya I would do inside the house vs the set up. I have one of those outside lol.
Maybe look into some Alocasias? They can get big too but some of them can be smaller.
Unless your terrarium is the size of a room I wouldn’t….
