My boyfriend and I made three terrariums at a terrarium workshop just last Friday (1.5.26) and all the materials were provided for us.

The man in charge of the workshop told us to leave the terrariums semi-closed for the first week or so of its life and so they've been sitting on a very bright windowsill with no direct sunlight at all.

Today we've come home to one of the pieces of wood in one terrarium seemingly growing spider web looking mold.

I'd love to hear any advice, what to do, how bad is it, will it spread to the other terrariums and how to prevent this in the future 😅

Thank you in advance ❤️

You need springtails to control that mold growth.

Try to remove it and see if it comes again

Unfortunately, mold is part of normal cycling. Like cycling a new fish tank. Pretty much all terrariums get it in the beginning. Add some springtails and they’ll keep it down. 💚 It looks great.
