Has anyone used this for indoor begonias? I thought I read somewhere that someone used it successfully for PM on their indoor begonia, but the bottle says not to use for potted plants.

I had a black magic that got a bad case of powdery mildew. It was a lost cause and I trashed it because even the props developed it. Now I desperately want to protect other cane begonias!

Any advice is appreciated.

I’m currently testing this on some of my potted cane begonias. My canes are much more susceptible to powdery mildew than my Rexes so we’ll see what happens. I treated my big Tom Miller and a big Maurice Amey with this almost a week ago. My Serenity and Maurice Amey are the two that get powdery mildew first but I just repotted and cut my huge Serenity way down so I didn’t treat it.

  2. i haven’t used this, but i use rose shield for PM. works great at both preventing and stopping it, although it’s recommended you take off affected foliage anyway

Wrong one. And terrible naming bioadvanced! Spray not Care.

“BioAdvanced All In One Rose & Flower Spray can be sprayed onto potted plants, but they must be moved outdoors to treat. They can be moved back indoors once dry. Please note, we have a very similarly named product, called All In One Rose & Flower Care. This product is poured directly into the soil. All In One Rose & Flower Care cannot be used in containers, as the Tebuconazole in the product can settle around the roots and cause root burn.” [https://bioadvanced.com/all-in-one-rose-and-flower-spray-concentrate.html](https://bioadvanced.com/all-in-one-rose-and-flower-spray-concentrate.html)

I was recced the spray by Orchid people. I have successfully used it for pests on begonias. I don’t remember if I’ve used it for powdery mildew. Maybe on a new quarantine plant. My powdery mildew almost disaster predated my introduction to the spray. I treated everyone with immunox and it solved my problem. They’re both serious business and I always wear ppe and take things outside.

I use the indoor version of this on every plant I bring home from the store/nursery before I put them with my other plants.
African Violets, begonias, calathea, alocasia, everything not edible.
It protects the plants I already have and innoculates the newbies. Later I switch to the indoor fertilizer meant for the specific plants.
I use the outdoor version on my roses and they love it.

I used it indoor because a worker at a nursery said it has the same ingredients as Bonide Systemic but it caused horrible mold on the soil, I contacted them this is their answer: “This product is only recommended for use on in ground plants. Use in containers can cause injury to the roots due to the Tebuconazole in the product. I would recommend overwatering your plants to the point of puddling just once to attempt to wash some of the fungicide away.”
