Help! I dont know if I should chop my leaning fiddle.

I was gifted this fiddle. Its absolutely gorgeous but it has progressively gotten more top heavy, where I am using two sticks to try to help support it. The center main stem if very thin, wimpy, and no structural integrity. I want to chop it, but so scared. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
