I saw this for the first time, is it a type of milkweed? Can’t figure out which type, my best guess is green comet milkweed but I still don’t think that’s right. If it’s native to the region (or at least not directly competing with similar native plants) I’d like to help it win the battle against sow thistles in my yard lol.

Looks like a native milkweed to me, not sure the exact type though

Asclepias oenotheroides… I planted one two years ago and it’s finally flowering!

The monarchs looooove these. They seem to get priority oviposition compared to my other species.
