It's pretty small, but they get pretty big like I would say up to my chest. They like to live between my garage and my neighbor's garage and whenever I try to pull them out bare-handed, the prickles sting my hands, and then still feel tingly for hours or sometimes a day afterwards. I want to get rid of them. I also want to know if there's a way to relieve the stinging sensation after I, like an idiot, grab one again.

Find a dock leaf and press it on the stinging skin
It is called stinging nettle for a reason. Wear gardening gloves. Otherwise they are quite healthy. You can make nettle tea🍵
A perfect introduction to stinging nettle.
You’ve never seen a stinging nettle?
Stinging nettle, it cures your skin, initially it hurts but it’s very good for your health. You can make a nice tea out of it as well.
I’d be saying “Charlie bit me” in my head about the stinging nettle
Also sorry you got stung! Hope you have some good gloves 😄
Should be some dock leaves nearby.
Stinging nettle, very useful plant if cultivated it makes a good vitamin rich soup. 🇦🇺
I remember them by their angry looking leaves
Stinging nettle! Cut them up and make some tea, they’re also delicious with cheese
Show it who is boss by eating it
Doesn’t look like a stinging nettle to me. Maybe they are different varieties of them, ours get white flowers and don’t grow very tall
Ok now eat it 🤠
Sting them back by eating them!

I used to deliberately grow them for their nutritional benefits. But alas, I’m on an urban lot and my husband decided it was time for them to go. It’s okay. I secretly planted them in a marshy ditch area near the canal . . .

If you have any sword ferns in your yard, you can rub the spores from the underside of the leaves on the nettle rash to help alleviate the itch.
A great revenge is to now just eat it. Of course wear gloves and cook them!
get back at it by making nettle soup
Growing very close to the stinging nettle should be another plant, called a Doc Leaf, and if you rub the doc leaf on the sting it will sooth it.
How dare it! Sting it back. Stupid plant
Soak your hands in warm, soapy water. The horse farm I rode at as a kid had these all over, and I remember they had me do that and it helped the stinging.
Nettles are delicious and sting me every year as I gather them no matter how careful I am. Best nasty stinging ouch pain delicious in soup and pancakes ever.
