I paid for a bucket of baby props — not even for these, but because a few leaves from a GORGEOUS pink succulent had fallen in there and I had to try to prop them. I asked if I could just take the pot since it was all loose props, but nope… so I committed and made it a project.
When I unpotted it, the peaty soil was basically one solid mass and all the pups were anchored into it. I removed the bottom portion, exposed some roots, and kept the top root layer intact so everything could stay together. At this stage it felt safer than separating them.
I built the planter around the slab and this is where it landed.
I know the commandment “Thou Shalt Not Arrange,” but since these are still babies already establishing together, I’m really curious to see how they compete — basically a tiny succulent Hunger Games.
This will probably get dismantled eventually, but until then… may the odds be ever in their favor 🙇♀️
