My monstera fell last night 🙁 I’m suspicious of my cat possibly bumping into her or maybe the weight was too much as I have been putting off supporting her. I do think my cat was messing around:(( . And now she has cuts all over her leaves and one leaf the stem is bent. Will she survive ?
Shes currently being propped up with the wood because it was the middle of the night and didn’t want to repot then. I’m planning to do it now.
Mt other question is do you think I should repot into a bigger pot to be able to use the wood or okay to take out and put in same pot? I don’t want to shock her too much 🙁
I last changed this pot about a year ago. It doesn’t seem root bound for amount of soil that fell out

She will survive
Is there a cut below the sheath?
She’ll definitely survive. The worst that may happen depending on if her newest sheath is messed up, is grow kinda funky, or try to push another grow point. But if not, she’ll continue on her way the same!
She will be okay. Give her some extra support for now.
P.S. if I may, please use thinner bamboo sticks as support instead of boards/planks. The pot is light itself, and now that the plant is bigger and heavier, it’d be super easy to topple over if you use the supports seen in the photo. And softer cotton strings to tie instead of wires or tapes. Just a suggestion.
If it helps, I had some curtain rod fall on mine on accident (a structure was beside it and broke) and one of the leaves broke but never fell, the stem of the leaf (not the body of the plant, just the little arm) is at a 90° angle now from that breakage and it has been over two months and never fell, leaf continues to look overall great, no discoloration, no poor communication between the leaf and the plant from that messed-up part, it’s still going strong
