Hi everyone! We moved into our house about 4 yrs ago, had a baby during that time and totally forgot about the garden. Now he’s 2.5 and himself and myself love going out the back to plant a few bits. I want to tidy it up to make it a nice space for us to hang out in. The previous owners had all this shite rock stuff on either side of the garden where all the weeds peek through and it does be over run. Does anyone know if I could just dig up the stones and put down soil? Gardening beginner here!!

Absolutely – there might be a weed membrane underneath which you’d need to rip up too.
Keep the shite rocks tho as you might want to add some back to the soil for extra drainage depending on what you’re planting.
