I cannot believe I found these in a Walmart along with other “rare” cacti… is this good in terms of price point or could this also be a poaching situation?? I did buy 2 however

    Yes it’s a good price point (you didn’t list the price even but I’m assuming it’s cheap) and no they’re not poached. It’s just mega cactus/succulent/euphorbia/caudex farm that is flooding the market with rarer plants

    Those are seed grown. Nothing to worry about. I’d change the soil immediately though.

    It’s just that costa is a shitty company. Just out of curiosity, what state are you in? Trying to see if anywhere in the Midwest has gotten those.

    It’s a Madagascar palm right? I never considered mine to be a caudex but I guess maybe they are? They can get really big eventually. Mine is in a big pot so that will probably limit its size but Ive seen them get to be the size of a tree when planted in the ground.
