Want Poppies? Try this…
The ice cube tray method is a fantastic way of getting a small amount of poppy seeds right where you want them.
The KEY to direct sowing success is:
-Working the soil before, you want to place the cube on nice soft crumbly soil NOT a rock hard surface
-You must keep them watered, the seeds will NOT germinate if you sow them and then forget about them. Daily watering in the heat.
You can sow a batch of poppies every few weeks so you have a longer period of flowers.

Failed to follow instructions, planted poppy seed ice cubes in G&T instead of soil. Tasted nice though.
Can you do this with any flower seeds 🌱🌱
We growing opium baby
Brilliant idea , thank you
Somniferum poppies don’t require cold stratification to germinate. It’s a myth. I’ve grown them for 30 years
Just know poppies spread…. I'm in California and it's poppy season and I have them in my yard, even though I've never planted them.
Kool idea!
Great idea! 👌🏻 Can you do this with different seeds? 🤔
