MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – MSU Extension Consumer Horticulture Educator Rebecca Krans joined Mandy Koskela for a virtual interview on home gardening resources.

Krans outlined online resources such as the MSU Extension website, Smart Gardening, and the Foundations of Gardening Course.

Krans said the Foundations of Gardening Course is open to the public and offers a certificate of completion.

Krans says the Foundations of Gardening Course is a 10-week long course on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. eastern. She adds that it covers everything on gardening from lawns to vegetables and soils.

Ahead of the fall course starting in August, Krans said partial scholarships begin May 20 and registration opens July 1.
