My favourite astrophytum asterias v-type us about to bloom for the first time since I bought it. I'm super excited .😊

However, my other asterias aren't ready to flower yet. How to preserve it's pollen so I can use it for pollination later? I read I could use a q-tip or brush, collect the pollen and refrigerate or freeze it. Is this the way? Could I just collect a whole dried up flower and freeze it? Or cut off some stamens with pollen on them?

What is the best way from your personal experience?

Cheers!

Use a qtip to rub pollen onto it. place that in a glassine bag or plastic bag in the freezer.
