PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The Wood County Master Gardeners, a program of WVU Extension, is inviting the community to a Spring Gardening Seminar and Plant Sale on Thursday, April 30, at the Wood County Resiliency Center in Parkersburg.
The plant sale will begin at 5 pm, followed by the seminar at 6 pm. The event will be held at the Wood County Resiliency Center, located at 328 2nd Street in Parkersburg.
Admission is free, and the first 50 people through the door will receive free heirloom vegetable and flower seeds.
The seminar will feature three gardening presentations. Bette Angle with Grassy Creek Farm will speak on “Herbs: Backyard Medicine Cabinet.” Hillary Arnold with Arnold Farms will present “Vegetables for the Summer Garden.” J.J. Barrett with WVU Extension will discuss “Heirloom Colonial Gardens.”
