  1. Great video! YT wouldn't let me comment in the "Live" comments. I've switched off of Crisco completely, and we use lard or bacon fat for frying, or grass-fed butter. But it is getting really hard to navigate. I buy local as much as I can — meat, dairy, poultry, etc.

  2. Hi Kaye, as a child of the Crisco era and all the other candy, chips and artery inflammatory foods, I know how and why in my late 60s I ended up with an exteremly high CAC score. Thank you for the walk back thru Crisco history!

  8. Good Morning Kaye – Yup it is always about the money and control of the people. They killed the American Pie as I only make it once a year for Thanksgiving now. Thanks so much for the info/walk thru history on how Crisco, Parkay, fluoride, seed oils and all the other toxins are now in the food supply. I did the vegetarian diet for a number of years but when the fake meats came out decided the long list of chemicals was too much. I try to avoid the grocery store as much as possible these days and stopped washing my clothes in toxic chemicals which pollute the water as well. Will be on the road next few days so will try to catch up when I get back. Take care and hugs to the kitties…

  10. Wow was this information interesting!! The Crisco, and Parkay(I remember the old commercial with the lid that talked) and the Fluoride! The history was so interesting! I do use Crisco on my cast iron skillet after cleaning it to keep it nice and shiny? Oh gosh!! You know the little flame that is on the can of Crisco? I have heard that you can push a wick down inside of that and use it as a candle. I don’t know if that’s true. I have never tried it. I just love your channel! Have a great day😊

  11. Tennessee has some great country ham and bacon outlets like Benton and Rice’s. I have both vacuum-packed in the fridge. We had the same grease pot, same dinner and supper, and lard stand in the pantry at grandmother’s house. Today I finally get around to making Kentucky Derby Pie (thanks for the reminder)!
