We live and farm in a very dry region in South Africa (Karoo/Bushmanland/“Boesmanland”).
Commercial skincare products never really solved the problem long-term — especially in winter and wind conditions.
We started experimenting with traditional sheep tallow and beeswax-based balms.
What we found:
very effective for extremely dry skin
long-lasting barrier protection
simple ingredients, no chemicals
It’s not a modern trend for us — it came from necessity.
Has anyone else gone back to traditional animal fat based skincare?

Cant afford it
Sheep tallow for the win! Traditional remedies endure because they actually work. When commercial products fail, going back to basics just makes sense. Love this! 🌍
