It looks salvageable to me ! Definitely keep it in some moist moss to encourage roots to grow
Yep, water propagate it and it should be fine. Also it looks a little lanky, so make sure it’s getting alot of light!
And ditch the moss pole. They just need something to climb. Any sort of pole is fine, but opt out of the rot magnet.

Look on the bright side you have a good chance of having 2 plants for the price of one…..😁👍
