    Unfortunately, here in NY, the plant nurseries are just as expensive as the big box stores! That is why I start the majority of my garden from seed. I even saved some seeds last year and overwintered two plants. I cut costs where I can so that I have money for soil amendments.

    Welcome to Texas-Houston/Richmond area… Those are called love bugs and they are everywhere mating!! They get in the way when Im in my garden. Hope you had a great time in Enchanted garden..

    Get hummingbird feeders they can help with pollination…I think or maybe I just want that to be true because I love them in mine😊

    I’m growing on my back deck and I’m really interested in this section for the area on the deck that only gets sun for about 3 hours in the AM

    No ma’am! No bird feeder for me. Those birds are already on my last nerve. They’re already perched above my blueberries scoping them out for when they get ripe. 😂 Little do they know, I’m getting ready to cover them with tulle in the next few days. They will not be enjoying the fruits of my labor. 😅Also, these Georgia mosquitoes will pull up to the feeder with their towels like they’re having a day at the beach. 😅 I hope you got the grow bag. 😊

    Barbara, THANK YOU for taking me home!!! Born and raised in H-Town, 40+ years. We moved from Sugar Land 7 years ago. Enchanted Gardens and Forest were my jam! I miss the knowledge, beauty, prices and selection. I hope you soaked it all in and enjoyed your time there. Sending hugs from The DMV!

    I was so surprised to see a visitor touring my local nursery! I live about 15 minutes from Enchanted and it is my favorite place to shop. I go there all the time, usually to pick up a little color to add here and there and come home with a ton. I love the soils and mulch they carry too. Gardening is one of my passions and a few years ago I started planting Texas Natives. Such a learning curve but very gratifying. Enchanted has a great selection. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

    I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Texas. $2 is the standard nursery price. Enchanting Garden has some of the best started compared to other nurseries like Houston Garden Center and the staff is very helpful.

    Although Houston/Richmond is in zone 9, we mostly grow citrus in containers and move to the garage/greenhouse. 2021 Snow-mageddon killed most of the inground citrus and we've had colder than usual winters.

    Barbados/Southern Cherries are popular in the Caribbean so it's not cold tolerant at all and nothing like Bing Cherries but very high in vitamin C, it's what's typically used in supplements.

    LoQuat trees are small to medium trees that can be grown in pots. They have the most delicious fruit in the spring time. They attract a lot of beneficial bugs for your yard.
