Attempting to grow a spider plant into a topiary. All was going well, until my cat snuck up into the window and chewed all the tips.
Now I've armed this spider plant with a custom defense system to make the cat think twice next time. š

Isnāt spider plant hyper venomous to cats?
If you care this much about the plant surviving, why put it in a container that has no drainage?
animals are more persistent than we can even comprehend
i doubt thats going to work long term
My cat would disarm this in seconds lol

good luck, anything accessible is a snack to my cat. Even if he yaks after eating too much he’ll be back
spider plants are mildly hallucinogenic to cats, like catnip
The only way to protect this plant is hang it from the ceiling away from tall furniture or put it in a no kitty room with a closed door. Source: lots of experience.
Honestly I love this and my first thought was āthis would make a nice addition to a story sometimeā.
