  1. I totally get where you are coming from. I am so thankful for your content. I have drawn away from the chaos of the internet lately. I am thankful for my garden. It makes me happy. I so look forward to your channels and other homesteading channels that stay away from the chaos of this crazy world. I moved to Arkansas in 2019 and your channel was one of the first one I found. I call these happanstances…God Nod's. He led me here and I am grateful. I feel fine because I know who holds the future.

  2. Happy Anniversary!! 🥰🥰 The only reason I am surviving is because I always remember Who is really in charge. I don't know how I could be okay without my faith. I have not given up hope for this world, even though it breaks my heart most days. So, I pray. Blessings to all of you. 🙏🙏🙏

  3. Hi Jess and R&R Family. Being in the garden helps the garden of my heart. Drought here too and having to hand water the garden daily, putting more hours in tending allows me to converse with God more, bringing me lots of peace in my heart. It’s lots of work but makes me happy. Praying for rain here in Florence as well…. And everywhere that it’s needed. God bless you 💐

  4. Every summer we experience that smoke in Montana. We’re under drought conditions again as well. Dryest winter I can remember and I’ve been here for decades. Very worried about fires this year and the ranchers who are dear friends….

  5. Garden of solace…. That resonates deep. Dear lady.
Ours is my place to feel joy and consoled.
I’m slowly coming to no longer being numb. Finding that it can be safe to feel again.
My moon garden is coming into being ,and it was planted full of reminders for my children that I’ve lost. While my roses sing the joy of the time we had.
I sit in the garden and watch life thrive.. it helps to be aware of joy. ❤my hummers come hover in my face before moving on to the feeders.
My daughter told me that every time I see a hummer it her checking in. ❤

  6. I felt called to find a used copy of The Secret Garden in the last month. I haven't picked it up again yet but you just inspired me to read some today! I love that this was coming up for both of us.

  7. ❤ Your sit down talks always come at the right points in my life. God is good , and your impact on the world does make a difference. Like a ripple . This was the first year we haven’t done a garden in 8 years. The drought in FL. I felt guilty to ask more from Gods land. Although I know he provides. For example, Our rose bush has bloomed better than ever this season.
It’s been a hard season for my soul. Love ya Jess God Bless you ❤🙏

  8. The end…. You spoke directly to me. Yes, the garden of my heart is what the Lord has been speaking to me. He keeps saying “guard your heart.” I am experiencing a burnout season right now where the only thing I can do is walk, homeschool, and garden. For me that’s super limiting. I am a Martial Artist but my body has shut down from lack of rest. The Lord is using it to speak to lead me to His quiet place of rest and I am so thankful. ❤

  9. That is exactly how I have been feeling lately too. Unwilling to engage in systems that are so clearly destructive.

  10. we're feeling the drought here in northeast TN. God is good, He will take care of us. Love you and your sweet family. Wish more had your positive outlook and work ethic.

  11. I am in central Illinois we have been in drought for awhile too. The rain just seems to go around us each time. All we get is terrible winds for days. We have gotten some rain this spring but not enough to take us out of drought status completely. I lost a ten year old hardy hydrangea tree due to the drought and extreme cold we had this winter. It’s so sad.

  12. Jess, my word of the year is Tend. More specifically it's tend the garden of my heart which I got from a video you made early in the year. I try to live with this as the backbone of my life and it has been great. Thank you. I agree there is nothing like walking in the garden or just sitting in the garden looking out over everything I planted. I drink herbal tea instead of coffee, but I imagine it's the same feeling of awe, peace and gratitude. I hope you continue sharing your garden and small bits of life with us, though I feel like you may not want to for much longer. I seem to always be on the fence about tossing the internet and social media out the window. More and more I see people greatly reducing their time online for time in their immediate physical life. I think that's what we all need. Less time online and more time experiencing the life we are living in the physical world. Thanks for another great video, I truly appreciate you.💚

  13. As a single mother I am doing ok. It’s hard… really hard, but the garden has brought me so much joy and my son really loves the garden. In those times of motherhood when you just say, I am all touched out and I can’t do it anymore. I have to really look in the mirror and say you can do this one day at a time. Your videos bring me so much joy and even before my son was born I’ve been watching you. I almost feel like in a way you’re like one of my best friends. So thank you for being there and for always saying the right things through these hard times in life. ❤

  14. Agree – it’s been 10 yrs of intentional consuming and engaging – It’s been so refreshing to choose ‘joy filled constructively positive’ content over main stream media sources. I haven’t looked back. ❤

  15. I live in Colorado and we got nearly no snow this winter. We have had virtually no rain this spring. I feel the drought too.

  16. Happy anniversary.
My happy place is walking around the yard. The garden is not happening. I'm moving soon😮I do walk it and plan on how I want to clear it up for the next owner😊❤ I spent a lot of time sitting in the sunshine on my deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of herbal tea.

  17. Wise words from a wise woman who walks in her work intensive, beautiful and bountiful garden. As for how am I, I guess I’m as good as a lady in her mid 70’s who misses her family every day and sits playing puzzles and watching YouTube videos pretty much all day, every day can be. I quit watching news on tv years ago because it depresses me and I keep up with what’s going on in the world by reading headlines. I think I’m like the old people I remember from when I was a child, worried about humanity and Mother Nature. Old age can be very depressing. I love seeing what you create so thank you for that. I know last year was hard, it’s good to see you smile and laugh again. Enjoy your time with family, Jess, I know you do.

  18. Noticed the last few videos your face looks swollen. To the point that your picture for this video looks nothing like you?

  19. I'm in Brantley County. It came 2 miles from the farm at its closest. Most of our 44 triple hives of bees have died from the smoke and heat as they are closer to the flames. We've evacuated all of the cows, goats, sheep, geese, quail, chickens, ducks, and everyone else. We are a livestock sanctuary and working farm (M&B Farm). My animals are scattered everywhere, but they're safe. We need significant rain NOW!! I'm scared to death that we, our neighbors, and our friends are about to lose everything we've worked so hard for. Please pray for Brantley!!
