A couple of my violets were in the window this last winter and got cold damage on the outer leaves from touching the cold glass, so I removed the damaged outer leaves off a month or two ago (there are still some “spots”).

Anyway, the new growth is coming in kinda yellow?

Is this normal or is it a nutrient deficiency? Should I give them fertilizer or a bigger pot?

(The roots support a plant that used to be 2/3rds larger. …I think I was too aggressive…)

Thanks for all your help.

Without additional context such as potting medium, water source (RO, distilled, tap etc) and fertilizer frequency it will be difficult to provide good suggestions. Nutrient lockup is related to pH issues and nutrient deficiency would be related to fertilizer (just an example.) It does appear that something is causing the foliage to lighten.
