No on the nitrogen. Your spray was about the best think you can do. Mine unfortunately look the same. Forecast looks pea friendly though.

They actually do NOT need Nitrogen. They pull it from the air and fix NITROGEN into the soil themselves.

I live in Ireland and this week it was up to 18°c would that be to hot for them ?

Peas need supports, no? Could be something about the leaves coming into contact with the moisture in the soil. Get some bamboo stakes and some twine would be my advice

Super chunky compacted soil and overcrowding probably messing up root development, and they’re a climbing plant with nothing to climb. You’ve got some work to do if you want these guys to produce anything.

Generally people direct sow pea seeds rather than planting starts. I have planted starts, successfully, but you kept yours in the little starter pots for a month. I think their roots probably didn’t like that whole process.

Try again, direct sowing pea seeds. Last year I bought 3 starts because I was impatient that I’d sowed peas and they weren’t up. The direct sowed ones caught up to the purchased starts or maybe were 2 or 3 days behind them.

Your soil looks quite compacted and lumpy , I’d try mixing in some compost to help break it up. Just in between the seedlings. You don’t have to remove them.

Peas really prefer to be directly sown and if you do transplants you need to take care with them. If they have been sitting in tiny pots from the garden center for a month, they are probably stunted from that. Get seeds and start over if you have time before hot weather. Also agree that soil doesn’t look great in picture, but peas aren’t usually super picky on that front.

  9. #1 your soil looks to be of low quality. This can be fixed over time by amending it with ample compost.

#2 they need something to climb up and trellis onto

#3 they don’t look completely terrible, and with some compost worked in and a good trellis there is still good hope for your peas

They are looking for something to climb 🩷

They need something to climb. Once they start grabbing and climbing they really take off and look happy.

Your soil looks sad…. looks like theyre planted in rocks or unfinished fill dirt. Nothing is gonna grow in that.

They got a little sun scorch but they can recover from that. Next time they need to be harden off more gently.
