My neighborhood was planted with Bradford Pear and Japanese cherry about 20 years ago. My neighbors on the other side removed their Bradford Pear last year, but this neighbor is a renter who's been trying to get her landlord to remove it for years. Landlord finally agreed and they cut the tree down yesterday!

Not sure if they're planning to dig the stump out or not, but I'll probably offer to help her paint it with herbicide if they're not. My neighbor mostly had the tree removed because she hates dealing with the leaves, and not because it's invasive, so I'm not sure how aware she is of the proper treatment method.

Any idea if there’s a Bradford pear bounty in your state, and if they know about it?

Bradfords don’t need painted, and painting is only ever effective within 5-10 minutes of cutting.

Freaking great they cut it down!!

Nice! I can’t wait for the day I can afford to get rid of mine.
