Cant tell if these guys are good or not. They look bigger than the springtails but I know there are multiple species of “springtail” so maybe these are just bigger ones?

    They look like fly maggots, too big to be springtails and too small to be BSF larvae.

    They’re neither friend or foe, but rather a warning sign that your compost is too wet (anaerobic) or lacks carbon.

    They could also result from meat/animal products in the compost. If that’s the case, your compost needs more volume. You don’t want outside critters to have access to meat in your pile, they will make a mess and spread disease (like flies)
