Rotten unfurled pothos leaf during water propagation

Hi all, I’m new to propagating and have had this pothos leaf in water for a week or two. It’s grown a nice thick root, but I didn’t realize it was growing a new leaf which must’ve been underwater. As you can see it’s rotted, so I’m looking for advice on what to do next. Should I plant as is? Try to peel the rotten leaf off? Appreciate any advice. Thank you!
