After I got a little bit into houseplants I wanted an African Violet because my mom used to have one when I was a kid and I remember how I could examine and care for it for hours lol. So recently I bought 2 of them. One grew somehow assymmetrically. Should I cut the leaves to bring it back into a regular shape or leave it be?

Yes you can cut them off carefully or just break them as close to the base as you can. You can prop them too.
The leaves will grow symmetrically naturally in a 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 putting out new sets of 3.
It’s possible some of your older leaves died and are hiding underneath that’s why it’s wonky now.
