Hi from 6a/b. My yard has a ton of Canada thistle so we opted to do raised beds and mostly containers (sacks).
I grew up with a large 1 acre garden in the ground so here I am in my 40’s, trying to refresh my knowledge and try again using containers.
Last years small garden was a success, so we tripled the anticipated number of plants. I’ve got a bunch in my basement, waiting for overnight temps to stay above 50 here in Michigan. To clarify it gets very hot here too. This week was 85 but 40 overnight lol.
I have bush beans (10 gallon bag) and sweet peas (5 gallon bag) in my house that are ready to go outside as soon as it is warm enough here in 6b. My tomatoes seedlings are not doing much, so I am going to try again. I think I started them out in pots that are too big – 4-6 inch. I am glad to see that yours are doing so well in containers, particularly the grow bags, which I am using too. Thank you for posting!
