    Ferns! I love these things. They’re proper prehistoric plants, like horsetail but not as evil. They’re all over the place in Richmond Park and they burst up out of the ground each spring before dying back in the autumn.

    First one looks like ostrich fern (*Matteuccia struthiopteris*), second is goutweed (*Aegopodium podagraria*), third is garlic mustard (*Alliaria petiolata*). The last two are both nasty invasives, unfortunately 🙁
