There used to be an arbor underneath this, but it collapsed underneath the weight of the bush itself and a particularly heavy snow load. Now it just looks like an overgrown mess. It still provides fruit, some years better than others depending on rainfall and whether or not it gets attacked by what I assume are Japanese beetles.

I’d say to trim it up. Might get better fruit production and it could make it easier to harvest.
Also I’m jealous cause I’ve been trying to grow hardy kiwi and I think just mine got taken out by a frost

I would personally trim it aggressively and re arbor it. If completely correctly it should output even better.
