Check out Green Stalk planters. They are on sale for $99 5 tier holds 30 plants. If you get the right plants, two green stalks will give A lot more planting options in roughly the same amount of space and cost. [Vertical Planters | GreenStalk Garden](https://share.google/xjaHHrGvoI6W7Loy7)
Eta – Don’t mess with the leaf, the smaller one, just get the original, the deeper pockets make a lot of difference in growing veggies.

Large enough for what? To grow enough veg for 3 people, you need to think in terms of hundreds of square feet of space.
Aside from that, the planter seems reasonable but I’d review how the base is supported and how the wood is protected.

Depends on your budget, ambitions and situation.
Its expensive for the growing space imo.
What and how much do you want to grow?
If you want to provide a decent amount of food you will need quite a few of these.
Are you renting? If so I would suggest fabric pots or beds, you could get many times the grow space for the same money.
If you own the property and have space I would highly recommend in ground beds.

No. People already gave you comments regarding size here is my 2 cents: from your OG post you mentioned wanting to grow an assortment of vegetables including tomatoes and cucumbers. Keep in mind that some plants don’t go well together, and wouldn’t grow well together in a box like that, maters and cucs from your list are not companion plants and shouldn’t be planted next to each other since they won’t grow well. Similarly avoid planting garlic near peas and beans.

Thats large enough to grow some basil.
It is not large enough to grow all the food to feed a family of three.

You guys have given me LOADS to think about! Thank you for all the insight. Sounds like we need to opt for ground beds since we own our property.
