I’ve had my fig for 4 years. Purchased at Target on a whim before hearing about the trials and tribulations a lot of people go through with these things. Brought it back from the brink of death (lost all but one single, tiny, weak leaf) after neglecting it during a more difficult phase of life. I currently have it in an east facing window that gets several hours of bright morning sunlight where I typically open the curtain so it can catch some rays before it gets shady on that side of the house. I only have west and east face windows (duplex). My west facing windows get a couple of hours of direct sun in the late afternoon but nothing like the west side does.

Ideally I would like for it to get taller, but from what I’ve seen on this page mine seems to grow fairly slowly. This is 3 years after the near death experience. I recently repotted it as well as I figured it could use some fresh soil and put it in something a little bigger. I don’t know, I assume that since it’s alive and putting out new leaves pretty regularly that it’s fine but wanted to throw this out in to the void and maybe get some thoughts or opinions? Is this too much light? It used to live in a west facing window at our old house that had quite a bit of shade from an outside tree. Does it normally take several years for it to grow taller and is there anything I can do to help it thrive?
