I went on a 10 day cruise and came home to a hellish nightmare. She was watered on top (she was in a bottom water container. I've trimmed everything dead off of her. Where do I go from now?! She was a cutting from a 30 yr old violet plant. That stem was thick, healthy, green.

If she’s got root/stem rot, I’ve had luck decapitating in those situations! Cut back the stem to healthy growth with a clean knife, scrape the sides of the stem a bit too, plop her in some clean, damp appropriate substrate (I wick water) and loosely put a clear bag around the top. Roots will start coming.
I thought one of my rotten girls was a goner but 60 days after her decapitation she was back to normal.
When doing a decapitation for rejuvenation, keep a maximum of 10 leaves on the plant. Select a couple of the healthiest leaves that you remove to propagate, for added insurance. Also, use a small plastic pot while the new leaves are coming in. The pot should be 1/3 the diameter of the rosette of leaves.
