I’ve shared hundreds of raised bed garden hacks, but I’ve never put all my raised bed secrets in just ONE VIDEO! In this video, I’m sharing my top 5 hacks for your raised bed garden to make it grow like never before.

From deterring pests with herbs and flowers to planting your garden 3 or 4 times a year, you’ll learn how to ignore the “”rules”” of gardening and use the hacks that really work. These are the lessons that took me from an ugly box full of dying plants to a master gardener.

Have you tried any of these hacks? Let me know in the comments which one you can’t wait to try this year.

  1. You need to grow in the Great Lakes area; then PNW and Maine. We’re a whole different game! Winter hasn’t finished with us yet.

  2. This year crazy hot…crazy cold… kept 10 days ahead in weather, sprinkled seeds every weather break. Last year 1rst gardenary year, stunning! Spring babies, dill parsley cilantro peas carrotts… popping up now! This year i will do even better. Thank you nicole

  3. No nonsense, straight to the point gardening instructions!! Now “this” is how you teach….thank you!! 🫑🍅🥬🪴

  4. I have a two keter raised beds and two vtrug raised bed only success was some tomatoes .I used miracle grow pot mix .I was discouraged any suggestion on what I am doing wrong thx

  5. Love your content. Very helpful information. Thank you. My question is…
No mulch? No straw? Nothing to help hold in moisture in the soil?

  6. Outside of physical barriers, what flowers/herbs/plants have you successfully used to deter deer?

  7. I just love your channel. You are so real-world logical and observant. Thank you so much for the advice and insights, as well as the reasoning behind it.

  8. Ok one caveat though for discussion is if you do fill up a space, no bare soil, watch out for snails and slugs if it's wet. All those leaves together are attractive to slugs and snails. Keep things trimmed if close together.

  9. Such a breakthrough…. I was just planning my spring garden as to what to put where. This fall I will be sure to plant other crops in my tomato bags to regenerate the soil and not have to keep changing my potato grow bags. I use grow bags (too many underground wires across my yard to grow in the earth)

  10. One reason I haven't grown food is because its not pretty. But the way you have planted your raised beds is beautiful! Now I want to try it, thank you🫜

  11. Thank you for another great video! The only problem to apply some of your tips is our very short growing season ( zone 3), where we have only 100 days without frost, and actual growing time is about 2,5 months, no crop changing time 🙁

  12. I have always gardened in the ground. This is my first year raised bed gardening. So I have general knowledge but worry every once in awhile I am completely starting over haha. Your videos are amazing, concise and full of information. Thank you!

  13. We have a big problem with squash bugs here so I’ve been told you have to spray or cover the beds (I’ve heard this all over SC, AL, Georgia) have you dealt with such aggressive bugs?

  14. Great video … raised bed and container gardening is great because i can control alot of my outcomes. And work around the weather best of my abilities.. lol 😅
