Hi,
I've had this lil guy for about a year.
I thought he had been having trouble not getting enough light for a while so i finally got him a "grow light" I got a bit overwhelmed by the rigs and price of equipment people tended to recommend on so i took a gamble on a cheepo amazon light.
But now how do i tell if he likes it? Will he straighten up again or?
For watering i only water when the soil is dry and his leaves are squishy.
Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty good to me. The exposed stem on the bottom just tells me it’s an older plant. It’s got good color, a tight rosette, and overall seems quite happy. And you don’t need expensive grow lights to grow happy succulents indoors, I use six $20 lights from Walmart spread across 3 shelves and have a solid 80ish succulents. Could some be happier, yes, but there’s a learning curve lol. Just keep doing what you’re doing 😁
The echeveria I got for my mum started spacing out already within a month after I gave it to her before I got her a grow light. Considering how compact (probably not the right word but I can’t think of a better one right now) the leaves are i’d say you’re doing pretty well. The leaves on the one I gave my mum are spaced out by like 1cm minimum for each leaf so there’s not really a rosette anymore lol
Oh, you know. When it looks this good!
