Now is great time to start planningโฆ
Itโs fall and winter is around the corner. Itโs the perfect time to dream up a kitchen garden for that spot in the backyard.
Here is your planning list: ๐
Iโll try to be to the point.
1. ๐ฉโ๐ปGo to SunCalc.org and look up your property for summer and winter solstice. Now you know the sunniest spot to grow in.
2. ๐ฉโ๐ปGo to Google and type in โaverage high and low temperatures for (enter city or zip code)โ. Chart this month by month.
3. Look at those temperatures and put them in a category of cold, cool, warm or hot gardening season. You can google those exact temperatures for those gardening seasons. Ex. Cool season is between 35-64 with a chance of frost.
4. ๐ฉโ๐ปGoogle โcool season veggiesโ. Print your list & write the months that fall into the cool season for your zip code. (See step 2 & 3)
5. ๐ฉโ๐ปGoogle โwarm season veggiesโ. Print your list and write the months that fall into the warm season in your zip code.
โจโจโจTa-da! You now know exactly what to grow when in what spot in your garden. Now go install that raised bed! ๐ฉโ๐พ
