Now is great time to start planningโ€ฆ

Itโ€™s fall and winter is around the corner. Itโ€™s the perfect time to dream up a kitchen garden for that spot in the backyard.

Here is your planning list: ๐Ÿ“

Iโ€™ll try to be to the point.

1. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ปGo to SunCalc.org and look up your property for summer and winter solstice. Now you know the sunniest spot to grow in.

2. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ปGo to Google and type in โ€œaverage high and low temperatures for (enter city or zip code)โ€. Chart this month by month.

3. Look at those temperatures and put them in a category of cold, cool, warm or hot gardening season. You can google those exact temperatures for those gardening seasons. Ex. Cool season is between 35-64 with a chance of frost.

4. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ปGoogle โ€œcool season veggiesโ€. Print your list & write the months that fall into the cool season for your zip code. (See step 2 & 3)

5. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ปGoogle โ€œwarm season veggiesโ€. Print your list and write the months that fall into the warm season in your zip code.

โœจโœจโœจTa-da! You now know exactly what to grow when in what spot in your garden. Now go install that raised bed! ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ
