Hello!
I want to preface with I'm not good at growing plants and trying to learn.
In the first picture, there's this clear gooey material that keeps coming back – I'm not sure what it is. Can anyone help me?
In the second picture, there's this white powder like substance that's also grown and I have absolutely no idea why!
Any advice/help/guidance would be much appreciated.

Not a plant expert either, but this is what I would do. Get a spray bottle and mix 50/50 water and hydrogen peroxide to disinfect and allow them to dry for a bit before replacing them in a clean container. How’s your roots looking?
Why is the palm with some other kind of plant?
Post in plant clinic. I can’t even tell what you’re trying to show but maybe someone there would be able to tell what the problem is.
