I don't understand why people have such a hard time with this plant.

I don't do anything special, she didn't get a lot of sun in the last 5 months, I sometimes forget to water her and she just spent the whole winter around 10-20% humidity. I had a humidifier close to her but also a woodstove so it was just enough she wouldn't dry out.

She kept giving me new leaves all winter and she's gifting me with a flower, hoping more are coming !

I suspect she needs warmth more than humidity or perfect watering.

I'm having a harder time with my vittata, my pothos and pilea ! Killed a couple succulents, one croton and 2 dracaena and other plants I can't remember because i have a medium collection and have had for a while.

Don't give up on those, i find it's one of my most rewarding plants, easy to propagate, grows like crazy when healthy, is fun to look at move during the day and will bounce back pretty fast as well. (I took out about 15 leaves during winter by accident, they can be fragile. She was almost bald but was almost back to being full 2 months later.)

I have the same plant.   Mine is pretty large.   She hangs in a south window and is fairly chill and non problematic.  I also have about 8 of her siblings and cousins.  5 of them are absolute pains in the asses.  In the prayer plant family, this one, the Triostar stromanthe, and the golden mosaic are the easiest plants in my experience and don’t require much.  The rest of them are super annoying tbh.

Brag on!! I’ve killed 3 marantas in 7 months!!! Have a red currently alive in pon and I think it’s the only reason she’s alive. She actually has a flower stem too!!!

My croton is doing marvelous and has never gave me any problems. Marantas are my only difficult plant. Triostar doing well. Calathea beauty star doing well (not the ornata). I even have a fittonia who’s never given me aaaaany issues and a lot of people can’t keep one happy!!!

    U have the maranta touch!!
