  1. If I'm going to put some tomatoes in early I usually dig a holes a couple weeks ahead of planting and put clear plastic over the area so the ground further down can war m a little. When I plant I pull the warmer surface compost/soil down into the hole. I also bend the plant gently sometimes so its not going in as deep. Seems to work ok.

  2. Hi…..from Canada ๐Ÿ˜Š
I grow in 7 gallon bags. I tried a new tomato seed this yr, they are large cherry tomatoes. I think I sowed them too early altho the pkg said they take longer to germinate. That is not what happened and they have grown pretty tall.
I cant really put them in a trench because I'm using bags. I think my only option is to put them in a little deeper and just fill the bag to the brim.
    I should never experiment. LOL
Thanks for the videos….. I get a lot of information from them.

  4. Hey Gary, again always great gardening tips!โ€ฆ gonna grow my tomatoโ€™s in a container

  5. Planting deep is for deserts or long season places. Us northerners benefit with mounds if not raised beds
