This is my old yucca that I finally decided to cut back. It was planted around 20 years ago and had become completely overgrown, with tons of old leaves hanging all the way to the ground.
Altogether I cut over 15 rossetes?, if not 20..
I’m curious what you think, should I trim anything else, or just leave it as it is now? I actually really like this new funky look, even though it’s a bit unconventional.
Also, one thing I’m a bit unsure about is it’s now much more exposed to wind. Before, all those old leaves kinda protected it and it barely moved at all. Now I’m slightly worried it could snap in strong wind.
Do you think I should support it with something?

Personally I would have left his beard alone. He looked really cool with it.
Looks awesome. Good job. I bet the plant is much happier.
I like the after better 🙂 It looks amazing!
