Hello! Thought I’d share the dry bones of my bamboo-style terrarium. I’m planning on putting in a crested gecko, and it’s an 18x18x36. I tried to make sure I have lots of horizontal branches and space for the guy to climb, but it still feels pretty empty right now. I’m planning on adding a few more sticks, and once I add in plants it should fill in nicely. I’ll probably need to mist pretty often to keep the background wet so moss and similar stuff can actually grow on it, but I’m also thinking about adding some fans for airflow. I know the substrate is a little low right now, but I plan on adding another 2–3 inches later. I also feel like I need more places to put plants instead of just relying on epiphytes. Just looking for any additional advice, plant recommendations, etc.

Are the ends of the bamboo sealed? If not, add holes along the sides, or the geckos will be trapped inside. Also, u want more sticks. Use thicker sticks horizontally, than lay thinner sticks and cork bark along multiple of the horizontal sticks. And also u can lay sphagnum moss around, and wrap the plants in it, cuz it holds water but u don’t need to use planting pots. And use pothos, fittonia and other hardier types of plants
