Did you add growth hormone? Looks mutated

What the alien Frick is that???
Never seen this way of growing, why so many baby leafs?
Is it trying to eat humans with it’s tentacles???

I think your orchid needs a factory reset! 🤣 Seriously, this is strange. My guess is a crown keiki. Just allow it to grow there. Time will tell. You didn’t put keiki paste on it, did you? Please keep us updated

wtf. i guess just let it ride and see what happens. maybe keep the baby leaves misted so they don’t get stuck together?

That is really weird. Please keep us updated.

It doesn’t even have 5 leaves that I can see. That is deformed growth

I would love to have that happen. I like weird things. Orchids grow so slow that I would welcome this

That thing is weird…. But. There are a few reasons that come to mind when smaller leaves start coming.

Too small a pot/overcrowded roots (nothing to retain moisture/nutrients over time),

injured/damaged root system (suddenly a certain percentage of the moisture/nutrients aren’t making it to the leaves),

the fertilizer is too dilute (and there isn’t enough concentration of nutrients to fully support new growth).

What kind of orchid is it? The leaves are really huge and thick. I do think the things coming out of the center is a “fasciation” will be some kind flowers.🤷‍♀️
