Why is monstera doing the matrix thing and the only one dodging bullets? I have 9 monsters but she’s the only one doing this. I watered her this morning. Last watering was a week ago. She fully unfurled 1 day ago. Window is SE facing and I open the shades daily. It was unusually warmer earlier today and wondering if the warmer temp change caused this? I’m in the PNW.

The newest leaf was damaged somehow which bent it. I’ve done it just bumping a new leaf the wrong way- they’re less rigid and sturdy the more recently they’ve unfurled.

Not sure. This has happened to me with some of mine doing strange exercise level bends. It could be trying to move towards the light source. I would rotate the plant so the newest leaf is directly facing the grow light and getting the highest priority.

With it being a newer leaf and if it did get much warmer than normal it’s possible that it’s just sensitive and reacting but should correct itself once it firms more. I wouldn’t suggest rotating since it’ll confuse the other leaves to face a different way

  4. When new leaves are first emerging, then petioles (leaf stems) aren’t very firm yet. Additionally, I think they tend to lean back to maintain contact with things like trees.

It should straighten up on its own over a couple of days.

Those leaves may need support. Also, monsteras typically don’t need to be watered more than twice monthly. Every week may be too much.
