I dont believe the orange HD pails are food safe, you need to use the white version. love the idea of using a pool as your garden lol, but once again i doubt that plastic is food safe.
Make sure you add drainage holes to all those buckets, and especially the kiddie pool. Drainage is very important, and without proper drainage, it makes properly watering your plants so much harder.
The kiddie pool needs a lot drainage holes drilled in, and you should fill it to the very top with potting soil. It will compact lower on its own after a few days/weeks of watering.
You should add perlite so the soil doesn’t compact

i had a baby last summer so i didn’t do squat but the year before i had a few serrano pepper plants that did amazing in a raised bed. i put some marigolds and basil near them and they were all a happy bunch together! i think im going with those again this year. rosemary was fun too
