Newbie here, got some nursery stock I've attacked and actually pretty chuffed.
The smaller of the 2 I didn't want to keep going due to taking a lot off but they're both doing well and recovering so hopefully in autumn I may wire that one. The next step is more junipers especially a itoigawa maybe an azalea even though I have terrible luck with them in garden and I also have a few local oaks coming along nicely so at least one of them will be a bonsai and lastly I think I'll want a sakura blossom one day.
Any advice, tips or just general feedback is appreciated.

Love the second one in particular
Should have cut the larger branches and kept the small branches closer to the trunk. The idea is to shrink it and let it grow not make pads immediately.
That being said we’ve all been there. Best bet now is to take some heavy wire and bend that branches closer to tighten up the look.
That second one is really well done, but maybe you could consider cutting off the low big branch next spring. I think it would make it even more elegant.
